🎉 Surprise “Swoop” Visit at Como-Pickton High School! 🎉

We had a special visit from April McAdoo, Assistant Director of College Readiness Admissions at the University of Texas at Tyler, and none other than Swoop the Mascot! 🦅

They stopped by to surprise our very first confirmed UT Tyler student — Saylor Smith! 💙🤍

These fun “Swoop Deliveries” celebrate the first confirmed student at each high school that partners with UT Tyler’s College Readiness Coach program. Our College Readiness Coach supports all of our seniors with college and career preparation — not just for UT Tyler, but for any college-bound student.

This is the third year we’ve proudly partnered with UT Tyler to help our students prepare for their futures. Congratulations, Saylor! 🎓

Mrs. McDowell's class got to have their celebration for the six weeks today. They had extra recess and popsicles! We are so proud of them!

Our Kindergarten students that did not have any discipline for this six weeks got to celebrate by having extra recess, and popsicles today. They loved it! We are so proud of them!

Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade that did not have any discipline or failing grades for this six weeks got to come celebrate by playing bingo for prizes and having popsicles today. We are so proud of them!

Our 8th grade Eagles stayed home tonight to defend their home turf one more time against the Rivercrest Rebels! Our Eagles put on a good show and were to come away with a 24-19 victory to close out their season! We are proud of our Eagles as they close out their junior high football season on a high note! Let's congratulate these young men!!

Our 7th grade Eagles traveled to Union Grove to finish off their football season. It was a close game throughout and our Eagles came up just short on the scoreboard 16-12! These young men have had a great first year of football and made a lot of gains throughout the season! We look forward to what they will be able to do next year!

Our Pre-K students that did not have any discipline for this six weeks got to celebrate by going out to the big playground today, and they also got to have popsicles. They loved it! We are so proud of them!
