Charging Policy: No charging allowed

Como-Pickton  CISD is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). This is a special provision that provides an alternative approach for offering school meals to schools that meet the qualifications as specified in the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act that allow ALL STUDENTS to eat a no cost breakfast and lunch without having to submit an application for free or reduced price meals. The CEP uses information from other programs, including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Temporary Assistance Program for Needy Families (TANF) instead of the traditional paper applications. Students attending Como-Pickton CISD qualify for the Community Eligibility Provision and all students will be provided a no charge breakfast and lunch.

CEP does not cover the costs for second meals, extras, or smart snacks.  If you wish your child to have these items please ensure they have adequate funds on their lunch account or pay with cash at the register.  School lunch accounts can be accessed below:

Como-Pickton CISD Employees are allowed to charge up to $25.00

Meal policies can be viewed in policy manual at Como-Pickton CISD Board Policy Manual - Policy Online (tasb.org)
