Eagle Nation Alert! CP FFA Officers, Mr. Bowen, and Mrs. Walden met with Hopkins County Veteran Clayton McGraw, and Veterans Memorial Treasure, Danny Davis to present a check for $4,350 to be used for the upkeep of the memorial. Funds were raised at the FFA auction for a patriotic quilt donated by Mrs. Walden and auctioned off to the 2 top bidders: Farm Country and Humphrey& Humphrey Farms. Hunter Cooksey, Clayton and Kyle Humphrey were on hand to help present the check. Thank you so much to these 2 generous donors for supporting our school and community.

Eagle Pride Alert! Last week, Elementary had their first book tasting! With our recent delivery of new books, 3rd-5th grades participated in a book tasting to sample a chunk of the new books! They had so much fun!
Your Lady Eagles played a very feisty Fruitvale team in the championship game at the Grand Saline tournament. Ladies competed till the last seconds of the game but could not over come a large deficit. The team had a good tournament going 3-1 and finished 2nd. All Ladies played great! Great Job Ladies! 🦅

On the final day of the Hughes Springs Tournament our boys played against Ore City. It was a hard fought, back and forth game that that required overtime to settle the final score. Ultimately, our boys fell short on a last second shot that went for the other team. Final score 36-35. Show your support for these young men in the comments below.

Your Lady Eagles pulled a tough one in overtime vs a physical Harmony team. The ladies were undersize but played with tons of Heart. Ladies executed key plays to come from behind to force overtime and played with GRIT to secure the win. They will play in the championship game tomorrow at 3:15pm. Great Job Ladies! 🦅

Our varsity boys came up short to a very talented Queen City team at the Hughes Springs tournament this morning with a 59-41 loss. These young men are still growing and have a lot of season left. They play again today at 12:30 versus DeKalb.

Como-Pickton FFA competed at the Rains FFA Build-Off yesterday. Despite the cold and the heavy rain, these boys came out and showed out by winning Grand Champion in the firet pit division!
Our boys traveled to Hughes Springs this morning and played a very competitive game against Paul Pewitt. The game was back and forth all the way to end but our boys came up short 47-45. The boys never backed down and played hard until the end.
