Como-Pickton CISD

Our CTE Floral Design students have been busy creating something beautiful! Five times throughout the school year, these students have the opportunity to design and create their own floral arrangements while learning skills they can carry with them long after they leave the classroom.

For their September arrangement, students celebrated Homecoming and Eagle pride with a beautiful combination of white roses, Columbia blue mums, greenery, and football-themed containers. The finished products were absolutely gorgeous!

We love seeing our students learn practical, hands-on skills while also getting the chance to be creative. Great job, Floral Design!

What a special way to celebrate some of the beautiful people who make Como-Pickton CISD such a wonderful place!

The Plant Niche in Sulphur Springs recently led an initiative as a way to support local small businesses while also recognizing deserving individuals in our community. Load Trail generously stepped up as the primary sponsor and chose to use this opportunity to honor members of the CPCISD staff. Red River Credit Union and Spectrum Business also contributed to help make this thoughtful gesture possible.

After nominations were submitted by fellow staff members, recipients were randomly selected and surprised with beautiful plants from The Plant Niche in Sulphur Springs.

Our recipients were incredibly grateful for the recognition, and we are so thankful to Load Trail, Red River Credit Union, Spectrum Business, and The Plant Niche for helping spread a little extra joy throughout Como-Pickton CISD. It was such a fun reminder that a simple act of kindness can make someone’s day!

🏐🦅 LADY EAGLES DEFEAT THE LADY WILDCATS! 🦅🏐 The Lady Eagles battled hard tonight and came away with a 3-1 victory over the Lady Wildcats! Our JV Eagles traveled south to Frankston and played an incredible game winning 20-12 against the Indians! Offense and defense came up big in key situations that allowed our Eagles to capture the win! Our boys are back in action next week at home versus Mt. Vernon! Our 7th grade Eagle football team took to the field today at Frankston and walked out with a 21-21 tie. These young men played a great game and had a lot of positives throughout and a lot of growth! They are back in action next week at home!

Thursday Night Lights!

Our CPCISD staff was recently treated to the most amazing homemade cinnamon rolls!

A huge thank you goes to Felicia Lewis for baking more than 130 of the most delicious cinnamon rolls we’ve ever tasted. They were a huge hit, and our staff was so grateful for this sweet treat and thoughtful gesture!

The first See You at the Pole event was held Wednesday morning at CPCISD, thanks to our partnership with Greenpond Baptist Church and Bright Star Baptist Church.

Many students attended, and many donuts were consumed! We are thankful for this opportunity to come together with our community partners!

Our varsity football moms, here is a great opportunity for you! We did decals with dads and now it's your turn!

Three of our students won a crisp $100 bill this morning as a reward for having perfect attendance during the first six weeks of school!

Our elementary winner was Kinglyn Session, our junior high winner was Sway West, and our high school winner was Joe Zamora.
