Our Varsity Eagle Basketball team play the Panthers from PTAA Fate and it was a thrilling game from start to finish! Our boys fell behind early but slowly chipped away before taking the lead late in the fourth! It went back and forth until the end and our Eagles come up just short falling 61-57! These guys never gave up and put up a strong fight the entire game. The Eagles are back in action Friday at North Hopkins.

Last Friday the 8th grade celebrated with ice cream sundaes for having the highest attendance for the 3rd six-weeks at CPJH . No pics of the students with ice cream because it was consumed very quickly, but here is a group photo!

These students were selected by their teachers for the month of December because they follow our school motto by being safe, responsible, respectful, and kind! Attention Elementary Parents!

Last week we had our 6 week celebrations at Como-Pickton Elementary. Our Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Mrs. McDowell's class earned extra recess for having all passing grades and no discipline. Our students in 1st through 5th grade were rewarded with snacks and drinks while they played bingo for prizes if they achieved all passing grades and no discipline. We are so proud of each and every one of them!

We celebrated our "Out of this World" staff member for the month of December today at Como-Pickton Elementary. Saundea Monk was voted in by other staff members for her unwavering hard work and dedication to our elementary school. Congratulations! We are so lucky to have you!

All Junior High Basketball games for Thursday have been canceled. It is our bye week and this was a game we were able to pick up early. We were informed today, by Paris Sports, they would not have enough to play.

Weekly Eagle Athletic Schedule

Your JH Lady Eagles traveled to Detroit and finished 1–1, earning 2nd place in the B-Team Tournament. All of the ladies did an outstanding job representing Como-Pickton and competed with great effort throughout the day. The A Team JH boys hit the road today for some tournament action in North Hopkins. The boys were able to go 2-1 for the day. They were able to gain valuable experience and will continue to get better for the 2nd half of the season. Scores: 31-35 CP vs Boles 47-15 CP vs NH B Team 59-32 CP vs Dodd City

Our JV and Varsity Eagles basketball team traveled to Cumby to go up against the Trojans on the hardwood on Friday night. Our JV played hard and fought the entire time but came up short on the scoreboard at the end. Our Varsity Eagles went and played a back and forth game that saw many lead changes throughout. In the 4th our boys were able to pull away and secure a big district road win against the Trojans, winning 66-51. Both teams are in action again on Tuesday as we host PTAA Fate with our JV starting at 5:00pm.
