Saturday we finish up our first volleyball tournament held at our new gymnasium. Our Lady Eagles are in the gold bracket and will play at 1:00pm.

Como-Pickton High School students Journey Brumley, Kyler Gillis, and Federico Nobili delivered school supplies donated by Hopkins County Probation Department this week. Everyone loves new school supplies at the beginning of a new school year, and we are grateful for these! Thank you, Hopkins County Probation Department!
Our JV Eagle football team took the field for their first game of the season and through some ups and downs were able to pull out a 6-0 victory over the Quitman Bulldogs! These young played hard the entire game and put up a strong defensive game. The offense was able to put up a score late in the 4th quarter by Mason Calvillo! Congratulations to these young men in starting their season 1-0. They are back in action next week in Wolfe City!

We love having our CPCISD families in the stands cheering on our Lady Eagles! As we enjoy volleyball season, we are asking for your help in keeping our youngest fans safe.
For the safety of all students and guests, pre-school and elementary-aged children should remain in the stands with a parent or supervising adult during volleyball games. Please do not allow children to run, chase one another, play ball, or climb on tables or other equipment in the gym.
Our games can be busy, exciting events, and we want everyone to have a great time while staying safe. Thank you for helping us keep our gym a safe and enjoyable place for all of our Eagle families!

JH LADY EAGLES TAKE THE COURT! 🦅💙
The JH Lady Eagles played their first volleyball games of the season and competed hard against the Alba-Golden Lady Panthers!
Our B Team came away with the WIN in 2 sets! 🎉👏
The A Team battled hard and showed a lot of fight, but fell short. We are proud of the way both teams competed, fought for every point, and represented Como-Pickton!
Thank you to Credit Union of Texas and Kelli Lee for donating refillable water bottles to our students! You can imagine how much these were appreciated during these super hot days of August!
Weekly Eagle Athletic Schedule
The Lady Eagles went 1-2 in the Gold Bracket today.
We fell short against Leonard in two sets, but the girls battled hard against Mildred in a competitive three-set match and just couldn’t pull out the win. We finished the day with a three-set victory over Wolfe City!

Football season is here! Here are the themes for this year’s football season! These are the perfect resources to help you plan ahead. Theme days start next Friday, August 28! We can’t wait to see everyone show their school spirit!
Dear Como-Pickton Families,
Beginning Monday, August 24, we will have a change to the traffic pattern at the elementary school. The entrance to the drop-off and pick-up line will now be located behind the new gym. This change will be in effect for both morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
As you know, our school is located on a very busy highway. With traffic backing up along both shoulders of the highway during arrival and dismissal, CPCISD believes this change will help improve traffic flow and, most importantly, ensure the safety of our students and families.
This is a minimal change to our current routine, but one that we believe will help keep everyone safer. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make this adjustment!
