Como-Pickton CISD

🌈 Our Greatest Blessings 💙
A beautiful reminder for us to stop and look around. A rainbow over our school is pretty special…but the greatest blessings at Como-Pickton CISD are the precious children inside these walls.
They are our purpose, our joy, and the reason we do what we do every single day.
From rainbows in the sky to little faces gathered at the office window…we are blessed beyond measure at CP. 🌈🦅💙

Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day, and here at CPCISD, we are so very thankful for our incredible custodial staff! They work tirelessly each day to keep our facilities clean, safe, and in tip-top shape for our students and staff. So much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but their hard work makes a difference every single day. Thank you for taking such great care of our schools and the people in them.

We appreciate you and all that you do! 💙🖤

Our JV boys traveled to Mt. Vernon this evening and played a strong defensive game versus the Tigers! The rain never stopped and neither did our boys as they pick up the 14-8 win! It was a close game the entire night and they played with a lot of grit! Our JV is in action again next week in Carlisle!

Reminder of our changes to our sub-varsities for this evening.

Being optimistic isn’t about ignoring the difficulties around us. It’s about facing them with hope, courage and a belief that our actions matter.
This month, our Optimistic October calendar is full of ideas to help you take positive steps forward. Please pass it on to others.

Our CTE Floral Design students have been busy creating something beautiful! Five times throughout the school year, these students have the opportunity to design and create their own floral arrangements while learning skills they can carry with them long after they leave the classroom.

For their September arrangement, students celebrated Homecoming and Eagle pride with a beautiful combination of white roses, Columbia blue mums, greenery, and football-themed containers. The finished products were absolutely gorgeous!

We love seeing our students learn practical, hands-on skills while also getting the chance to be creative. Great job, Floral Design!

🍂 October is coming, which means GIVEAWAY time and MORE opportunities to volunteer! 🍂 And this month, we’re adding a little extra fun! To say THANK YOU for giving your time, the Booster Club has put together a basket full of goodies to give away valued at over $150! 🎉 https://app.unison.io/schedules/4rQr3WzSYOHTeSOONq2pLM 🎟️ Every time you sign up to work during the month of October, your name will be entered into the drawing! Winning requires NO MONEY SPENT only small amounts of time! Volunteer once = 1 entry Volunteer three times = 3 entries The more you help, the more chances you have to WIN! But here’s the biggest reason we’re asking for a little extra help... We want to see our kids, too. 💙🖤 We absolutely love serving our students, our school, and our community through the concession stand. But many times, while everyone else is in the stands cheering, we’re behind the concession stand working—and missing those moments with our own kids. That touchdown. That big play. That moment they look into the stands hoping to see their family watching. When you volunteer for a shift, you’re not just helping sell snacks. You’re giving one of us the chance to step out from behind that concession stand and be in the stands for our kids. And that means more to us than you probably realize. So grab a friend, sign up for a shift, come hang out with us, and help give our Booster Club volunteers a chance to be Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, family, or just a proud supporter in the stands for a little while. 💙 Help us serve our community AND still get to show up for our kids. 🖤 https://app.unison.io/schedules/4rQr3WzSYOHTeSOONq2pLM

What a special way to celebrate some of the beautiful people who make Como-Pickton CISD such a wonderful place!

The Plant Niche in Sulphur Springs recently led an initiative as a way to support local small businesses while also recognizing deserving individuals in our community. Load Trail generously stepped up as the primary sponsor and chose to use this opportunity to honor members of the CPCISD staff. Red River Credit Union and Spectrum Business also contributed to help make this thoughtful gesture possible.

After nominations were submitted by fellow staff members, recipients were randomly selected and surprised with beautiful plants from The Plant Niche in Sulphur Springs.

Our recipients were incredibly grateful for the recognition, and we are so thankful to Load Trail, Red River Credit Union, Spectrum Business, and The Plant Niche for helping spread a little extra joy throughout Como-Pickton CISD. It was such a fun reminder that a simple act of kindness can make someone’s day!
