They came back strong in the 2nd quarter shutting them down to 0 pts and cruise the rest of the game. All Ladies contributed and played great defense improving their district record to 2-0. Varsity Eagles keeps working hard and plays aggressive team ball for four quarters!! They fought back from a 27-9 halftime score to come up a little short 45-38 to a talented DeKalb team.  Keep up the hard work!

Eagle Nation Alert! CP FFA Officers, Mr. Bowen, and Mrs. Walden met with Hopkins County Veteran Clayton McGraw, and Veterans Memorial Treasure, Danny Davis to present a check for $4,350 to be used for the upkeep of the memorial. Funds were raised at the FFA auction for a patriotic quilt donated by Mrs. Walden and auctioned off to the 2 top bidders: Farm Country and Humphrey& Humphrey Farms. Hunter Cooksey, Clayton and Kyle Humphrey were on hand to help present the check. Thank you so much to these 2 generous donors for supporting our school and community.

Eagle Pride Alert! Our 8th-grade boys took the court tonight against the Yantis Owls for the final game of the night. It was a tough, back and forth battle between the two. Ultimately, our boys finished the job and got the win! Final score: 27-15. #EaglePride247

Eagle Pride Alert! Your JH Lady Eagles hosted Yantis and came up victorious. Ladies played with great effort all throughout the game and gradually extended their lead. Eagle Pride Alert! Our 7th-grade boys defended our home court today against the Yantis. The boys got after it from the tip and played some great defense! Eagle Pride Alert! Last week, Elementary had their first book tasting! With our recent delivery of new books, 3rd-5th grades participated in a book tasting to sample a chunk of the new books! They had so much fun!

Your Lady Eagles played a very feisty Fruitvale team in the championship game at the Grand Saline tournament. Ladies competed till the last seconds of the game but could not over come a large deficit. The team had a good tournament going 3-1 and finished 2nd. All Ladies played great! On the final day of the Hughes Springs Tournament our boys played against Ore City. It was a hard fought, back and forth game that that required overtime to settle the final score. Ultimately, our boys fell short on a last second shot that went for the other team. Final score 36-35. Show your support for these young men in the comments below.

Eagle Pride Alert! Your Lady Eagles pulled a tough one in overtime vs a physical Harmony team. The ladies were undersize but played with tons of Heart. Ladies executed key plays to come from behind to force overtime and played with GRIT to secure the win. They will play in the championship game tomorrow at 3:15pm.
