Eagle Pride Alert! These girls did an awesome job at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Floral Contest!!! They had to complete a wedding bouquet within 40 minutes and a centerpiece within 45 with an unknown choice of flowers and scenario. Out of 115 contestants Michelle Mejia was chosen as one of the top 20 to compete in the finals where she was given 25 minutes to complete an arrangement with a different set of surprise flowers and container! Eagle Pride Alert! Our Lady Eagles Softball makes the Final 4!!! They played their 4th game of the tournament today and beat Mildred 3-2!!! Their next game is at 3:55 vs Franklin! Our Varsity Eagles played at Commerce HS against Quinland Ford. Kobie Wright pitched on the mound and gave up no hits and no ERs through 4innings but in the end we lost 1-0. We also played against Commerce High School and fell short 9-7. We will play at Home the following Tuesday for our first district game of the year against Cumby at 7:00pm.

Eagle Pride Alert! The Lady Eagle Softball team came out looking their very best today. They started out this morning beat Normangee 16-0!!! Then played Lumberton and beat them 8-3!!! After winning those two game they got put in the GOLD bracket with the top 16 out of 48 teams. Then later tonight they beat Monahans in a very close game of 5-2!! With those wins they are now in the top 8 of the 48 teams and play Mildred tomorrow at 11:10!!! Root them on as they try and win this huge tournament! Dalton Morgan, Kobie Wright, and Sean Carpenter led the team with 2 base hits a piece and a 8-6 win over Cooper . We will play at Commerce, Saturday against Quinland Ford at 9am and Commerce at 11am. #EaglePride247
Pickton Community! Tabernacle Baptist Church is preparing a lunch for all county and emergency crews working the area and especially for the families involved in the destruction of their homes. This is taking place at 12:00 this afternoon.
Como and Pickton Communities. I'm am saddened to report that much of our Pickton community received damage from today's tornado. I am ordering school closed tomorrow. Our students and staff living in that area does not need to worry about getting to school when they have greater worries on their minds.
Extra-Curricular activities will continue as scheduled. Your child's coaches will reach out to you with more specific information as needed. If you want to keep your child at home from those activities, just let your child's coach know and there will be no problems
As of now, I am able to report that I have received no information of any injuries. May we continue to ask God to favor and protect our little school and communities.
