Eagle Nation! Today marks the one year anniversary of the storm that hit our school and caused so much destruction. As we reflect on the impact it has had on our school, we want to express that not all of it has been negative. In fact, we have come away with so many blessings from the event that we pause to give our thanks to our incredible two communities who helped bring us through. So far, our damages have amounted to over $8,000,000 and we anticipate that rising to approximately $10,000,000 before the repairs are over. While the rebuilding process has been tough, we have replaced so many old and worn out parts of our school with new. We have been able to replace more than 40 air conditioning units. We were able to retile most of the Elementary, Junior High, and part of the high school. We had some roofs that were 25 years old or more replaced. You see the progress of the Field House and concession stand under construction, new weight room, new awnings, etc... The thing we are most pleased from all of this, though, has been your overwhelming support, help, trust, and confidence in us with the education of your children even in such challenging circumstances. For all of that, we want to say simply and humbly.... Thank you! We appreciate you much more than you will ever know! ... Sincerely and on behalf of our faculty, staff, and board..... Dr. Greg Bower

Eagle Nation Alert! It's time to begin registration. The Parent Portal is open. You can now go in and register your child for the 2024/2025 school year if your child was enrolled the last day of the 2023/2024 school year at CP. All students have to be registered every year and show proof of residency. Proof of residency is an electric bill, water bill, gas bill, rental or purchase agreement. It is also opened for new student enrollment. We need birth certificate, ss card, shot records and proof of residence for new students. These items can be brought to the campus office your child will be on. Proof of residence for enrolled students and new student paperwork can be brought starting July 22nd.

For our Athletes. We are going to cancel workouts today for the boys because we are without power this morning. We will wait a little bit before we make that decision for the girls because their workouts are a little later. We will keep everyone posted.

Even in tough times life can still be joyful. There are lots of small things we can do to generate positive emotions like hope, gratitude, enthusiasm and awe. Our Joyful June calendar is full of actions to help you focus on what's good. Give it a try and share it with others too.

Como and Pickton Communities! The chance of rain continues to grow for tomorrow night. To prevent having to cancel our Graduation Ceremony, we are making the decision to move graduation to the secondary cafeteria. The ceremony will start at 7:30. Parking will be tricky no matter where we hold the ceremony, so be sure to get here a little early to find a spot. We hope you are as excited to honor these students' hard work as we are!

Eagle Elementary Parents! These are the collection of eye glasses that we have had turned in the last few months. If these are your kiddos, just stop by and claim them! We know how expensive these things are to replace! We will keep them for a week after school lets out and if they are not claimed by then, we will donate them to a good cause.

Eagle Pride Alert! National Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) Appreciation Day is May 18th. Working to assess and improve communication needs and skills, Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs) work with both children and adults whether as part of medical programs or educational systems. These highly trained professionals serve people with hearing loss, voice problems, brain injury, speech sound errors, developmental delays, trouble with chewing or swallowing and much more. National Speech and Language Pathologist Appreciation Day is here to shine a much-deserved spotlight on these people who play such an important role in the lives of so many. And it’s a day to raise public awareness about SLPs and communication health! We are so lucky to have one of the best serve our CP families! Everyone give a shout out to Magan Bradford!!
