Eagle Pride Alert! 8th grades boys played tonight at home against Cooper. The Eagles fought hard but in the end it just it just wasn’t enough. On the bright side Como-Pickton’s very own B. With the community's help in voting, She not only won the title of Student Athlete of the Year, but she has also received the Letterman to Leader Scholarship! February 5th-9th is the nationally recognized School Counseling Week! School counselors deserve to be celebrated and recognized for the critical and incredible work they do with our students and communities! CPCISD wants to thank and honor our incredible school counselors. We recognize the vital role school counselors play in the lives of students and in helping them achieve success. Eagle Pride Alert! Your Lady Eagles 🦅 traveled to Fruitvale and took care of business. Our Ladies took control of the game from the tip and secure 3rd place going into the playoffs. Ladies continue to play outstanding defense by making consecutive stops down the stretch to secure the win. Our Ladies are playing great team basketball so come out Tuesday night for Senior Night and support your Lady Eagles. We are all very proud of you!! Elementary Eagle Alert! Join the Kids Heart Challenge Fundraiser for a Heart-Healthy Cause! I'm thrilled to share some exciting news – our school is participating in the Kids Heart Challenge, an incredible initiative that promotes heart-healthy habits in our children while supporting the American Heart Association. The challenge will begin February 6th and close February 21st. The Kids Heart Challenge focuses on fun and engaging activities that encourage physical activity, educate children about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and raise funds for vital cardiovascular research. It's a fantastic way to instill good habits early on and contribute to the well-being of our little ones.

I am wearing jeans and tennis shoes. Order whatever you want, including dessert. No alcohol. The address is: 1104 S. Elm Street, Carrollton, Texas, 75006. You'll probably have to hunt for a parking spot. Have fun with the popcorn, but don't irritate your colleagues too much by throwing popcorn at them constantly. Be safe driving, and pray for me as Alice drives me there. :-)

Eagle Baseball Fan Alert! The scrimmage on Saturday at Cooper has been cancelled. The Eagles will play their next scrimmage on February 9th at home against Hawkins.

Your Lady Eagles 🦅 had a great win at home vs Boles. Our Ladies came out strong in the 2nd half holding Boles to 1 point in the 3rd quarter. The Ladies are in 3rd place in the district standings and have a big game coming up this Friday at Fruitvale. Our JV also had a great game against Boles as well and puts them in 1st place with one more game to go. All the girls played Great!! Eagle Pride Alert! Your JH Lady Eagles 🦅  competed in the Alba-Golden tournament to finalize the season. The team was a mixture of both 8th and 7th grade. They played in 2 games and went 1-1. On their first game all the girls competed hard but came up short vs a solid Alba-Golden team. The 2nd game was a physical battle and they squeezed out a win vs North Hopkins. We are very proud of all of them! Way to go Lady Eagles 🦅!

Eagle Pride Alert! The Eighth grade boys played at home tonight against Cumby. The boys played physical and hard defense through the entire game. And doing this, the boys remain undefeated at home through two years. Your eighth grade Como Pickton Eagles moved to 6-1 in district. And are now in second place. Como Pickton 31 Cumby 12

Your JH Lady Eagles 🦅  finished out their regular season on top against Cumby. Both 8th and 7th grade competed with great effort and won their games. Our 8th grade showed great improvement throughout the year and finished 4th in the district.  Our 7th grade went undefeated and winning 1st place overall. All the coaching staff are very proud of both teams on their outstanding seasons.
