Eagle Baseball Fan Alert! The scrimmage on Saturday at Cooper has been cancelled. The Eagles will play their next scrimmage on February 9th at home against Hawkins.

Your Lady Eagles 🦅 had a great win at home vs Boles. Our Ladies came out strong in the 2nd half holding Boles to 1 point in the 3rd quarter. The Ladies are in 3rd place in the district standings and have a big game coming up this Friday at Fruitvale. Our JV also had a great game against Boles as well and puts them in 1st place with one more game to go. All the girls played Great!! Eagle Pride Alert! Your JH Lady Eagles 🦅  competed in the Alba-Golden tournament to finalize the season. The team was a mixture of both 8th and 7th grade. They played in 2 games and went 1-1. On their first game all the girls competed hard but came up short vs a solid Alba-Golden team. The 2nd game was a physical battle and they squeezed out a win vs North Hopkins. We are very proud of all of them! Way to go Lady Eagles 🦅!

Eagle Pride Alert! The Eighth grade boys played at home tonight against Cumby. The boys played physical and hard defense through the entire game. And doing this, the boys remain undefeated at home through two years. Your eighth grade Como Pickton Eagles moved to 6-1 in district. And are now in second place. Como Pickton 31 Cumby 12

Your JH Lady Eagles 🦅  finished out their regular season on top against Cumby. Both 8th and 7th grade competed with great effort and won their games. Our 8th grade showed great improvement throughout the year and finished 4th in the district.  Our 7th grade went undefeated and winning 1st place overall. All the coaching staff are very proud of both teams on their outstanding seasons. Eagle Pride Alert! Your Lady Eagles 🦅 had a must win game at home vs Cumby in district Competition. Your lady Eagles made their baskets count and prevail over Cumby. They put up a great fight to stay in the playoff picture and remain 3rd in the standings. All the girls played great and showed grit to secure the victory. Our 8th grade boys went to the home of Alba-Golden panthers tonight and pulled out an upset with a score of 24-23. The Eagles battled through adversity throughout entire game dealing with foul trouble. The subs stepped up in big way as well coming off the bench and playing aggressive! 8th grade Eagles move to 5-1 in district!!!

Our 7th grade boys played at Abla-Golden tonight and fought hard to the last second, but in the end fell short to Alba 17-10. Key players were J. Nation with 6 points and J. Bradshaw with 4. They now move to 4-2 in district! Post your congratulatory comments below! #EaglePride247

Eagle Junior High Parents! Junior High Winter Dance Hosted by: JH Student Council When: Friday, January 26th, 6pm-8pm Where: CP Secondary Cafeteria Why: To have fun & create memories Cost: $5 admission The popular Calvin Hickerson will be the DJ. There will be pizza ($2 a slice), sodas ($2), and waters ($1) to purchase. **Parents, please drop off your child/children in front of the JH. Students will enter through the main JH doors. Pick up will also be in front of the Junior High.** (This is only for CPJH students.) If you have any questions, please call the JH office.

Eagle Alumni.... Save Date!

Como and Pickton Communities - I am sure that you have been watching the cold weather development coming Sunday through Tuesday of next week. Monday is a school holiday already; in addition to that day off, I am ordering SCHOOL CLOSED ON TUESDAY as well. Even though nothing might happen with the weather, parents need time to plan accordingly. I always don't want our children who ride the bus to have to stand outside in this predicted SEVERE cold. We have enough back up minutes in our calendar for days like this, so at this point there will not be a make-up for this missed day. Our 8th grade competed in a very tough physical game but pulled 3 crucial rebounds to seal the victory at the end. Our 7th grade dominated in their victory and did outstanding.
