Our War Eagles went to battle with the Mustangs from Martins Mill and it was a nail-biter! After a shaky first inning, Sean Carpenter settled in and put in a great effort on the mound stifling the Mustang offense. The Eagle defense was on point backing up their pitcher. Cade Childress put on a clinic at 2nd base and the outfielders Edwin Castillo, Dane Oud, Nick Castle, and Cristian Munoz did their part as well!
The Eagle offense came alive in the nick of time with 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th, Cristian Munoz had the go ahead hit, driving in Oud! Our Eagles won 3-2 after Carpenter shutdown the Mustangs in the top of the 7th! Another great team win with a lot of grit.
Our Eagles are now 10-1 in district still sitting in first. They play again at Martins Mill on Friday at 4:30pm!
